About The Artist
I have worked in the field of ceramics for several years. Along the way I have had some wonderful mentors and teachers including Otto and Vivika Heino, Ted Secombe, and Jose Mariscal. Six years ago I decided to dedicate myself to working in the area of crystal glazing exclusively.
Painting
I was fortunate enough to have the late John Solem as my friend and painting mentor. He helped shape the philosophy I incorporate into my 2 dimensional work. Throughout the years I have created images used in most of the aquariums and zoos in America. This has allowed me many close encounters with various animals from sea otters to African lions.
